School Tours will be offered at the museum in April and May. on the following dates in spring 2025:
April 8–9–10 and 15–16–17
May 13-14-15 and 27-28–29

The Sooke Region Museum provides educational school programs for students from Kindergarten to Grade 8. We have specialized tour experiences tailored for specific grades to complement the BC Curricular Competencies. Please see detailed descriptions by grade below.
We can accommodate 2 classes per booking, up to 40 students at one time.
Cost $100/class. No charge for chaperones and teachers.

When booking your class, select a date, tell us the grade(s) and preferred activities (see pdf below). We will confirm by email.
All Grades – Activity Descriptions
Notes for school tours:
- Each tour includes 5 different activities of 15 minutes each (unless otherwise organized). All students will participate in each selected activity.
- Students should be organized in five groups with name tags.
- Chaperone requirements- adult chaperones are an important
component of the museum tour. Chaperones accompany the students, moving between the stations and assisting in the activities as required. - School tours are approximately 2 hours.
