2025 SEASON
thanks for a great 12th season!

If you’re interested in supporting local food growers, producers, and creative makers – this is the place. The Sooke Region Museum presents the Sooke Night Market to highlight the rich heritage of food producers, artisans and musicians in the area. It is a place for residents and visitors to learn about and enjoy local talent and fresh, local, in-season foods. Connect with friends, family and neighbours. Eat, enjoy performances by local musicians, and sing karaoke on the first Thursday of each month.
Back by popular demand, Moss Cottage and Triangle Island Lighthouse will be open during the Market, along with other outdoor exhibits like the Forestry Path. While you’re here, come inside and visit the Museum exhibits and gift shop.
Every week there are savoury and sweet food options, as well as gluten free treats. People come to the Sooke Night Market week after week to enjoy the atmosphere, for the community gathering experience, the opportunity to talk directly to farmers and the reassurance they are eating fresh, locally sourced food. If the food isn’t enough, live music and local makers inspired by this place are also a big part of the market atmosphere.
Why choose local? You are directly supporting farmers and other local businesses. Buy your food directly from the farmer to support local growers. Buy your clothes, beauty products, candles, soap, jewellery, cards to support local makers. It all strengthens our local economy and builds connections in our community.
Please note: parking is limited at the Sooke Region Museum & Visitor Centre. If you are able to walk or bike to the market please do, so the people who really need those parking spots can find them. The parking lot at Journey Middle School is open Thursday evenings, a short 10 minute walk through a forested path along the Stickleback Urban Trail to the Night Market.

MARKET SEASON The Sooke Night Market is outdoors and runs weekly on Thursdays from June to August, 5:00pm – 8:00pm. The market is on the Sooke Region Museum Grounds at 2070 Phillips Rd in Sooke, BC.
MAKE, BAKE, OR GROW The Sooke Night Market aims to be as inclusive as possible while at the same time avoid being an outlet for mass produced and mass marketed items. Products sold at the Sooke Night Market must be made, baked, raised, caught, and wild harvested or 100% grown by the Approved Vendor. Each product for sale needs to meet all the applicable laws, regulations, and rules as specified by federal, provincial, and local government agencies, local health authorities, the Sooke Region Museum, and any organic certifying body the vendor belongs to. It is up to the vendor to know and comply with these regulations as well as the provincial and federal sales tax requirements.
