    In the latter half the 20th century, the Sooke region was at the heart of some of the major forestry projects on Vancouver Island. Learn about the Sooke region’s magnificent forests and what makes them so special.

    Did you know the Sooke region is home to Greater Victoria’s water supply? The Flowline was a master feat of engineering for it’s time in 1911-1915 and was built with no electricity!

  • Heritage Buildings & Equipment

    On the museum grounds are heritage buildings and equipment. These historic pieces helped shape and build the Sooke to what it is today. Take a trip back in time in Moss Cottage, one of Sooke’s oldest standing buildings. Or learn about Chinese peoples vital contributions to the Sooke Region through the Servants’ Quarters.
