Natural History Speaker Series
All lectures in the Speaker Series happen at 3pm on the second Saturday of the month. Free admission.
Mollie Cameron, wildlife specialist, whale watching captain, President of Wild Wise, and founder of the cougar coexistence initiative, is passionate about all the wild creatures that inhabit the land and sea. Mollie believes that predators such as bears and cougars are often misunderstood and advocates for better understanding and peaceful coexistence.
Peter Pauwels, retired BC Conservation Officer, is a life long Metchosin resident and dedicated to providing wildlife education after his 30 year career.
Cougars

World Ocean Day! We are so fortunate to have so many marine species along the west coast. Join us to learn about our most frequently spotted species, killer whales and humpbacks. We’ll discuss individuals, behaviours, lifecycles and ecological threats.
